About
Charlene Zweifel
Owner and Nutrition Counsellor
Welcome! My name is Charlene. I completed my BSc in Nutrition and Food Science at the UofA and am now in the Dietetics Specialization program.
I believe that food is a fantastic tool that we can use to modify our health and performance, but I also recognize that eating is a complex behaviour.

My approach to counselling focuses on education, realistic behaviour modification, and improving clients’ relationship with food. I want my clients to walk away from me with the tools they need to achieve long-term success.

Growing up athletic, I was always interested in health and wellness. During my degree, I found myself particularly intrigued by sports nutrition, leading me to take my minor in physical activity and volunteer as a Sports Nutrition Educator for the U of A's Golden Bears and Pandas sports teams.

In my free time, I enjoy walking in the river valley with my dogs (Jasper & Willow), lifting in the gym, and finding good local coffee!

The FoF Approach
01
Balanced Nutrition Approach
Restrictive diets and food guilt are a thing of the past. I use a balanced approach to nutrition so you can enjoy the important things in life while achieving your health goals!
02
Client-Centered Counselling
You are the expert of your life and body. I am simply here to guide you to reach your goals in a way that fits your lifestyle and feels good!
03
Evidence-Based Practice
In a world of nutrition misinformation, knowing what advice to follow can be difficult. I stay up-to-date on the latest nutrition research and apply it in my practice.
04
Body Neutrality
Health does not equate to body size. At FoF, I emphasize being at peace with your current body, appreciating body functionality, nourishing your body without attempting to change it, and finding joy in healthy habits.
